Solutions for Slippery Roads
To Improve the Asphalt’s Texture and Increase the Friction Coefficient

Licensee of; Waterblasting Technologies USA – world leader in high pressure water blasting

The asphalt’s quality has a critical influence on the stability of the car during acceleration, braking and turning. Asphalt with a high friction coefficient can cover up for the driver’s errors, while asphalt without a friction coefficient will place the driver in an emergency situation, completely by surprise, in which he will skid, lose control, and there is a high risk that he will cause an accident.

Following are the variety of methods and technologies we are offering to improve and raise the level of resistance to skidding of the different asphalt pavements existing in Israel:
1. Cleaning the surface of the pavement by washing with pressured water in changing pressures, according to the severity of pollution and the type of asphalt mixtures - according to English know-how.
2. Improving the surface texture – Retexturing - of the pavement with high water pressure which serves to increase the depth of the pavement surface texture by removing surplus bitumen and pollutants from it - according to English know-how.
3. Improving the surface texture – Retexturing – of the pavement with a designated mobile system which serves to increase the depth of the pavement surface texture with mechanical means, using the “Bush Hammering” method - according to Italian know-how.
4. Cleaning by washing and water suction of porous asphalt mixture (quiet asphalt) – carried out by a machine with powerful suction which serves to clean the spaces in the porous asphalt mixture in order to refresh the acoustic effectiveness and the drainage capability of rainwater and other pollutants - according to Dutch know-how.

All the “designated” machines we are using are approved by the “National Roads Company” for carrying out the sort of jobs detailed above.
